Baccarat has also become extremely popular among online casinos, as millions of people log on each day to play.

The goal of this simple game of Baccarat is to draw a two or three card hand with a value closer to 9 than the banker's hand. The value of the cards varies of course. Numbered cards are worth their face value. The cards 10, Jack, Queen and King are worth 0. All aces count as 1. Now if the total value of all cards combined in the hand is more than ten, then you subtract 10 from the total. So for example if you have a 6-9 hand, this makes a total of 15. So you subtract 10 from this and are left with a value of 5. One quick point to make is that if your hand shows a total of ten then 10 is still subtracted from this giving you a value of 0 which is still counted in the game. Yes this is a value you don’t want to have.

The game of baccarat is started by the player being dealt two cards and the bank being dealt two cards. If either of these hands shows up with a value of 8 or 9 the hand is called a "natural." This then means the holder of the hand must expose it and the game will then end. If this is not the case and neither hand is a “natural play will continue with the player then being dealt to first, followed by the banker.
