Sports Betting Rules
 |
All bets must be made and accepted before the start of the game/event wagered on. Any bet that is placed or received after the start of an event will be void. All events must be played on the scheduled date and at the stated site unless otherwise noted. Those events that are postponed by more than 12 hours or rescheduled will be no action wagers and all money will be credited accordingly. Sports-Gambling.com does not recognize suspended games, protests, scoring changes or changes in the original result for betting purposes.
Management reserves the right to limit the maximum amount wagered prior to the acceptance of any bet. Customers can not open multiple accounts in order to circumvent the limits. If multiple accounts are used all accounts will be terminated and all bets voided. |
If money is wrongfully credited to a customer’s account, the customer is responsible for notifying the customer service department at Sports-Gambling.com immediately. For a bet to be valid, a customer must receive a bet number from Sports-Gambling.com that the wager has been accepted. This bet number will appear on your screen when betting online or you will get the confirmation number from the call center when making the wager by phone. Once wagers are accepted, the bets cannot be canceled or changed by the customer. Sports-Gambling.com makes every effort to ensure the information on the website is correct, however, if an error is made in the prices, numbers or anything else published online, we can correct any mistakes and cancel any bets already in action or settle them at the correct number. Management can also cancel or adjust any wagers that have been accepted but that were influenced by media information. All rules and information listed here as well as any minimum and maximum payout prices are subject to change without prior written notice.
Basketball Betting Rules
Overtime periods are included as part of the wager on full game and half time wagers in basketball betting. NBA games must go at least 43 minutes for betting purposes. NCAA games must go at least 35 minutes for betting purposes. Basketball straight bets are just like making a football bet on the pointspread. You choose a side and risk the normal 11/10. Basketball total wagers are just like football totals where you wager on the over or under on how many points will be scored in the game. Overtime counts for game and second half wagers. Basketball money lines are also just like the previously stated football example where no pointspread is involved.
Baseball Betting Rules
Exhibition baseball betting: there are not totals posted, no starting pitchers and ties can occur.
MLB betting: baseball games are considered official for side money line wagers after 5 innings of play or 4.5 innings of play if the home team is winning the game. If a game is called or suspended after being considered official, then the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning.
In that particular situation, the winner will be determined by the score at the time the game is called. For wagers on run lines and totals the game must go at least the full 9 innings or 8.5 innings if the home team is leading, otherwise it will be no-action.
If you do not specify pitchers you get the team “action” with money lines and totals. Listing pitchers is automatic when playing run lines. If there is a pitching change prior to the game, all wagers on Listed Pitchers are considered no-action. All money line wagers will be refunded while parlays will go down to the lowest number of teams and the corresponding payout. A starting pitcher is the one who throws the first pitch for his team. When you select “action” you have the team regardless of whether or not there is a pitching change at the adjusted price. You have the normal money line side options and total wagering options in baseball betting as you do in other sports and you can also choose the run line. In a series price all games in the series must be played and official for the series wager to have action. Baseball props must go the full 9 innings or 8.5 innings when the home team is leading to be valid.
Soccer Betting Rules
There are two soccer betting lines: a goal line and a money line or what is called a 3-way line with the favorite, underdog and draw listed. Soccer betting rules include 90 minutes of regulation and penalty time. Overtime does not count unless it is noted.
Football Betting Rules
NFL and NCAA football games are official after 55 minutes of play for betting purposes.
101 Washington Redskins 40
102 Dallas Cowboys -7
In this football betting example you are betting into a pointspread. The Cowboys are a 7-point NFL betting favorite in this example. For your wager to be a winner you would either take Dallas and have the Cowboys win the game by more than 7 points or take Washington and have them lose the game by fewer than 7 points. If the Cowboys were to win by exactly 7 points then all wagers would be a tie and all money on the side bets would be refunded. In football betting you normally are going to be laying 110 dollars for every 100 you want to win or the 11/10 equivalent. The number of 40 is the over/under for the game.
You can bet over or under that amount of points being scored in the game at the normal 11/10 ratio. If you like the over in NFL betting in this game you would need there to be more than 40 points scored to win your wager. Conversely, if you liked the under you would need less than 40 points to be scored to win. Exactly 40 points would be a push or a tie and all money would be refunded on total wagers.
Washington Redskins +230
Dallas Cowboys -280
This next example is the money line in sports betting where no pointspread is involved. In this example you would be risking 280 dollars for every 100 you wanted to win on the Cowboys or the 28/10 equivalent. The take back on Washington may have been set at +230 meaning you win 230 dollars for every 100 dollars wagered or the 10/23 equivalent.
